Being a friend during the redevelopment

There has never been a more exciting time to be a Friend of the Marlowe!

With a brand-new Marlowe Theatre set to reopen in mid-2011, being a Friend of the Marlowe will mean that you will be kept in touch with this momentous project as it unfolds.

There will also be plenty going on to help you keep up the theatre-going habit.

Exciting Shows in New Venues

Plans are already underway to present a range of shows and performances in a number of different venues across Canterbury, Herne Bay and Whitstable.

This programme will include our Christmas pantomime Peter Pan, to be performed in a luxury tent in Canterbury at Kingsmead Coach Park.

Our first full season of shows will be announced in early May, and Friends of the Marlowe will receive this information before anyone else.

Friends Outings and Activities

The Friends of the Marlowe will continue to offer an extensive range of trips, outings and social events - that are only offered to you and fellow members.

Priority Booking

With some performances taking place in venues with fewer seats, you will have the chance to get the pick of the best seats for the most popular shows.

You will also receive an invitation to attend the preview performance of Peter Pan, making you amongst the first to experience pantomime in the big top.

Discounts & Special Offers

You will continue to receive ticket discounts on most of the shows that we present in other venues as well as special offers in local shops and resturants.

Priority Booking for the New Marlowe Theatre

Friends of the Marlowe will be the first to receive information about the premiere season of shows at the new Marlowe Theatre.  You will also enjoy an exclusive priority booking period, giving you the chance to celebrate the opening of the new theatre.

Current Marlowe Shows

The Marlowe Theatre building may have closed but you can still enjoy top shows in a number of different venues.
